- We were interviewed for an
article called "Mind
Games" published in the IEEE Spectrum.
|

|
- We were quoted in the California Aggie. You can
find the article at http://www.californiaaggie.com/_articles/1530.taf.
I'm mentioned briefly here's the text:
Louder than a Bomb!
Software, a company that specializes in creating artificial
intelligence for video games, said the increasing influx of
violent games stems from the fact that violence is more
easily interpretable to overseas markets and is more
universally understood than the nuances that are required
when dialogue is spoken.
"Violence
translates very easily in video games, in television and in
movies," Zarozinski said. "If you’re exporting a
one-hour drama overseas, the more violence, the less
translation you have to do. The longer the car chase scene,
the longer the shoot-out is, the less time and money you
have to spend converting it into the nationality’s
language."

We were also mentioned in PC Format.
Spacemoney's guide to Artificial Intelligence had a side bar
titled "Smart thinking on the Net" which stated:
| Louder than a Bomb is working on AI software that
developers can buy to incorporate into their own games.
A useful site to watch. |
Many thanks go out to Steve Woodcock for the mention in the
